The Lovers (2010)

The following images are taken of tree trunks found in a forest in the out skirts of Bergen, Norway. Engraved into the trunks are the remnants of hearts containing the names or initials of lovers. Some of the engraving are dated back to the 1970’s, slowly fading with time like the memories of the young loves they once celebrated.
